PRESIDENT | Thad Johnson [President@4hrpoa.org]
Term – 2019 to 2022
My wife and I live full-time on Four Hills Ranch and I would like to contribute to our community as a member of the 4HRPOA Board of Directors. We enjoy hanging out on our patio, basking in the beauty of Cataract Canyon and being part of a growing, neighborly, off-grid community. I have past experience with the various road and community issues we face on the ranch and am passionate about keeping our ranch the beautiful and friendly place we all want it to be.
As a board member, I will welcome everyone’s input to ensure our association’s goals and resulting board actions are reflective of our entire membership’s requirements. Sometimes we’ll agree and sometimes we won’t, but I’ll work diligently to represent the majority’s “point of view” and the best interests of the entire membership. At the end of the day, we’re neighbors ALL the time.
I am interested in serving on the Four Hills Ranch POA Board of Directors. My wife and I purchased our property in 2001 and began with the construction of a garage and guest house in 2007. We completed construction of the house in March, 2015 after approximately 2 years of work. My wife and I are now both retired and love spending time in our beautiful mountain home. For the past 7 months, I have been to the property almost weekly and plan much more in the years ahead with our married children and grandchildren.
I taught High School Math for 23 years and then held the positions of Secretary/Treasurer, Vice President, and President of a large non-profit organization.
My wife and I are looking forward to becoming part of the growing active community in Four Hills. I have a great interest in preserving the beauty and natural environment of the Ranch. I will work hard to uphold the CC&Rs and Bylaws and spend the time needed to ensure a financially strong and viable Property Owners Association.
VICE PRESIDENT | Kim Shuey [email@example.com]
Term – 2019 to 2022
Hello. My name is Kim Shuey and I am glad to have been elected onto our 4HR POA board. I am a recently retired Registered Nurse of 33 yrs. My husband and I finished our home here last summer. Since then, we have been living in Four Hills Ranch as permanent residents. I am eager to be involved with the events and the decision making involving our community. I feel that living here full-time will provide added needs, concerns and information to the board regarding its residents. I am in favor of improving and protecting our chosen way of life.
BOARD MEMBER | Sherrian Bloomquist [Board@4hrpoa.org]
Term – 2018 to 2021
During my tenure as a board director I have strived to uphold the guiding principles of our community.
I have served on the 4HRPOA Board since 2006. I have been the POA President and Road Committee Chair for the past six years. As the road chair my primary goal has to keep our roads maintained on a quarterly schedule as well as give immediate attention to road repairs, snow removal, and improvements. As a result, our full time and part time residents have had consistent access to their property.
Of course, none of this could have been accomplished without the support of the board. The board’s decision to work consistently with one contractor has made it easy to get the emergency work done in a timely manner and improve the quality of our roads.
The most significant accomplishment over the past three years for this Board has been the creation of a legally binding agreement with HMR to manage the common roads for our mutual benefit.
Thank you for the support you have given me over the years.

In the next year, Ken and I will be permanent residents of 4 Hills Ranch and we could not be more excited! I have served in many leadership positions throughout my career and feel that because I live and am invested in the 4 Hills Ranch community, I would be a great fit for the vision of the ranch and advocate for community advancement and future plans as the community develops.
I have graduate degrees in both chemistry and physics and have taught high school physics, chemistry and engineering for 25 years. Currently, I am teaching chemistry and physics at the college level.
